CGAid is an aiding system built for students majoring in Computer Graphics and Animation (CGA) in Princess Samaya University for Technology (PSUT). It was inspired by problems faced by fellow classmates on a regular basis. In order for CGAid to reach its maximum capability, it will be built to serve students across multiple platforms; an iOS application and a website.
A survey was conducted and tested against students until reaching consistent results. The problems highlighted in the survey were:
- Problem with how the Cumulative Average can be calculated.
- Problem with figuring out how much the student needs to score in upcoming courses, in order to increase his/her overall average.
- Problem with deciding on which courses to take in accordance to their importance, in a matter that assures consistency or increase in the student’s cumulative average.
- Problem with students setting meetings with instructors within the department, in a way that serves both parties taking part in them.
CGAid aims to solve all these problems. Therefore, each release will target one of the aforementioned problems.
